It's great when a place is so good you can declare it your, "new spot". Juniper is that for me. And not for the flocks of people pouring in, or a massive waiting list to just sit at the bar. O' contraire mon frere! There is no wait. But it does have some elitist qualities you may or may not appreciate. It's very tough to find. It's very easy to imagine 50% of the wannabe patrons turning away because they couldn't find it. Tucked in behind one of the high-rises on the inter coastal side of A1A sits Juniper. You have to go through the gates of the complex to get there, and once through you see construction in the way and no place to park. Luckily we walked over, but they do have free valet, so don't be discouraged. We wouldn't even have heard of it, but there was word of mouth that was spreading on Hallandale beach about the place, and we thought to follow up on the good things we had heard. We weren't disappointed. Walking in, the first thing that hit me was the awesomeness of the long, lodge style dining room. Not a common design in south Florida, but I think it may have originally been a banquet hall for the condominium. And although my friends were split on how good the music was, I was diggin the Jazz lounge tunes wafting through the place. We were offered outdoor seating and took it. The ambiance outside was even better. Casual and romantic, it was great to kick back and watch the random boat troll past in the inter-coastal. This night we just got drinks and appetizers. I went with the house drink, The Juniper martini(Hendricks gin, quite good). The rest chose wines and a champagne. All served quickly. The apps were the calamari(excellent, and I'm picky on calamari), and a shrimp flatbread,(bland, crust too soft). A couple negatives at the end, but still a valid 5 star joint, if you can find it...

Went here for my husbands 30th birthday Sunday a few great friends and the mother inlaw food was extremely well put together it was an awesome, from the view to the service one of the best.

The ambiance is beyond compare; whether indoors or outdoors overlooking the marina and watching the boats go bye. One is welcomed by the staff wholeheartedly. From the cook to the bartender, Maitre D and hostess. The food is to die for, I haven't had a bad meal yet. Their array of imported wines impressed me so. Free Valet parking is a plus. Their happy hour menu is inexpensive, while made to feel like an aristocrat! B.A.

We had the best time here! I made the reservation for 4 but at the last minute it grew to 5 and it was no problem for them to accommodate us. Our server, Yoana (she's Indonesian) was helpful, pleasant and just a great server overall. She even complimented me on my look for the evening. I told her we were celebrating my Mom's birthday and she gave her a free slice of strawberry cheesecake! I had the lamb shank and polenta, which was tasty and cooked to perfection. We plan on going back for brunch. Thumbs way up for this 1st time experience here. THANK YOU YOANA!

Amazing food, beautiful decor, great view. We take away one star for the grumpy and pretentious waiter. All the other ones seemed very friendly, I guess we were "lucky"!

We visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday evening. Once we arrived, it took them almost 30 minutes to get our drinks order, after this minor incident, the service was good. The food was good, deserving of 4 stars, but the waiting time to get service at our table cost this review 1 full star... We order the pork belly appetizer, which is a new item on their menu - as per the waiter - and it did not disappoint. for our entrees, my wife ordered the mussels frites and I ordered the lamb shank with a side of truffle fries. The mussels were very flavorful and easy to eat. The lamb was ok, not great, but I was not expecting much from a Seafood restaurant. The truffle fries were disappointing, as they were very dried and tasted nothing like truffle oil... The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant as we sat outside. the music was perfect for a good conversation and the view was very relaxing. We will definitely give this restaurant a second chance!!!

Awesome restaurant with great decor and ambiance. The Staff is accommodating and the food is great. I loved the Grilled Prawns and the lamb shank. Its a bit out of your normal path but its really worth it. Great views on the river for amazing sunsets!

Very tranquil and peaceful place to enjoy a delicious dinner on the water. The salmon entry was very good. We visited here based on Yelp reviews and were very pleased with the experience. We highly recommend it.

I didn't realize my first post didn't go through! But I absolutely love the service and food here! Amazing atmosphere and amazing service! Had a wonderful evening with a stunning view!!!! The restaurant is a bit hidden but they did inform me they are working on that! This is an awesome place and with a very attentive staff !!!!
The decor is exquisite. The staff is unbelievably friendly. The presentation is perfect. The food is quite delicious. The drinks excellent. What it is not is easy to find. It's in the back of a parking lot on in back of a condo, The Juniper. The sign is barely able to be seen, even when you're looking for it. Look for the condo instead and go the drive, where you have to buzz the building security to get in. It is also NOT $$. After our Groupon, two entres and two drinks came out to $70 ($90 without discount ).

Wonderful new restaurant directly on the Intracoastal Two young but experienced owners insist on top quality everything. From the new decor, copper bar, beautiful dishes and flatware to fresh fish, great vegetables and salads and good steaks and burgers. Casual or dressy with a beautiful sunset view on the water. I have tried about half of the menu and everything has been excellent. Romantic or family, you cannot be disappointed.

This place is truly a hidden gem! It was a little hard to find, but so worth it! It's in a gorgeous location with a great view and vibe. You can sit indoors or outdoors. The service is on point; everyone is very helpful and so nice. I had the Mediterranean plate for the appetizer- the hummus and roasted eggplant was awesome. The salmon for my dinner was so delicious as well. I will definitely be back again, and I can't wait to try Sunday brunch.

We came here after checking out reviews while visiting from out of town. It's tucked away in a marina/condo complex. Don't be thrown off when you have to have the security buzz you in and just head straight to the back. It's a nice ambiance with available outdoor seating on a small marina. I came with my wife and and 20 mo old daughter. While I wouldn't exactly call this a family restaurant (think more trendy. Waitstaff in all black. Bebel Gilberto and similar music) they were very welcoming and accommodating and fixed a small dish for my daughter off menu. Our waiter was Paul and he was extremely warm and attentive. The kind of waiter that keeps checking to make sure you're covered without being intrusive. I had the roast chicken which was one of the best I've ever had. Even the side vegetables were especially good. My wife got jumbo shrimp, which was also awesome. And the bartenders fresh squeezed lemonade was also among the best I've had. Overall, I'm very pleased and would come back often if I lived here.

Nice ambience. Good food. Great service. Beatiful view with reasonable price. My husband and I just saw this local in a local news paper and we decide to try. We want here in happy hour time I got a hummus with pita,$4 so yummy and my husband got a cicken sandwich s8 I also got a Cosmopolitan $7 and my husband budlight for $3. Really good deal. They also had a $21 menu with three courses and the regular menu is affordable too. We want definitely come back. Complimentary valet service

We enjoyed dinner here a few nights ago. The waterfront location and newly redone interior are beautiful. I enjoyed a free glass of champagne with my Yelp check in. We sat outside on the intercoastal and it was beautiful. The restaurant had just a few other tables, but service got off to a slow start, and remained slow throughout the meal. My lamb shank was delicious. The tender meat was falling off the bone. My friend's whole snapper was equally good. Curiously, all of the sides have to be ordered a la carte. Overall it was a pleasant experience, but the service needed work and some editions to the menu wouldn't hurt. Beautiful atmosphere.

5 star service from James. 5 star manager, Sho. Food was delicious but a little small on the portions went on Groupon. Great value. It really is a hidden gem on the intercostal with boats and twinkling lights. GO!!!

I love Juniper. Not only is the environment amazing, the food is exquisite. I have had the lamb, the chicken, the pasta, and the burger (the best burger I have ever had!), and their brunch. Everything is gourmet for prices that are reasonable. Great bartenders and staff. The owners are also top notch guys. Juniper is the new hottest restaurant in Hallandale for sure. It's like a high end South Beach restaurant in Hallandale with better views and better food.

This is a 3 1/2 stars review....Armed with groupon we had dinner here last Saturday. We sat inside..nice views towards west on narrow part of intracoastal. Should be comfortable outside after September. Located at the Hemispheres condominium complex on west side of A1A. Easy to get to and pull right up to valet parking. Welcoming staff, very nice yet casual setting and friendly service. Attractive bar area. Note that menu is la carte. Branzino fish was very well prepared and flavorful. Separate order of Israeli couscous was also 'very good.' Lamb shank was 'good' yet lacked some flavor. Good wine list. Very good tiramisu.

This restaurant has an amazing atmosphere, great tasting food, and a great staff. It is newly refurbished with a beautiful classical interior. The food was all the hype; we ordered the salmon, grilled prawns, burger, and mango sorbet. All dishes were superb! The staff was warm, friendly, and attended to everything and anything we needed. If you're looking for a nice atmosphere and meal, choose this place.

Had a Groupon for dinner. View on the intercoastal is beautiful, we even had the pleasure of watching a dolphin swimming around. Food was excellent! Why only 3 stars? The service was only OK. We had reservations and were seated right away. We waited for at least 10 minutes before our server came to the table to give us menus. It was another 10 before he came back to see if we wanted something to drink. He didn't bother to come back and check on us once dinner was served and we had to hunt him down to pay our check. They were not busy, there were only about 5 tables outside and he was not the only server. The other issue was when we left some guy told us it was valet parking and next time we would be towed. Maybe they should have told us it was valet when they let us through the gate into the parking lot.

5 stars from start to finish. Amazing and welcoming staff and owners. It was our 1st time here and we felt like regulars. Strong drinks- solid portions. Also THE HAPPY HOUR MENU (including drinks) IS UNREAL CHEAP. This is my new favorite place in broward. Plus it's in the intercostal. Come before brunch. Live acoustic and great menu.

I'm not feeling the 4.5 star rating for this location. I gave a generous 4 because our server was fabulous. So here's the good. Nice interior and great waterfront dining. The sun sets on the back side of the restaurant so be prepared to be warm. Negatives: no fans on back deck. So you better like it hot if you are sitting outside. We sat outside. We regretted it halfway through dinner. As other mentioned they have a great happy hour sheet. They are also participating in dine out Fort Lauderdale and if you ask they have a special price sunset menu. Picky child enjoyed her butter noodles. Wats everything child loved her grilled cheese and homemade French fries. Wife ordered a flatbread pizza. It was a pizza on a pita so a little disappointing. My salad with goat cheese and butternut squash was fabulous. The sides of humus. Eggplant. Very nice and the bowl of olives top notch. I think to really evaluate we need to go back and eat more than apps. Looking forward to trying again.

My favorite place. Great food and service... From the amazing prawns to the Juniper burger, it's all delicious and hearty. When it comes to service, they always treat me like family. The sunset and waterfront vibe are spectacular. They will always have my vote, from date dinner to entire family outing. Sho always makes sure we are having a great time and for us is an important personal touch. Juniper is a keeper!

This is a review for their Brunch. We weren't wowed by the food, but this was a good find. The food was not bad, but it really could have been better. Based on some other reviews, I suspect things are better for dinner here. What I was impressed with was the location and the service. We were seated out on the patio where we could watch the boats ride by on the intracoastal (sounds like intercoastal to me). It was so relaxing, and I would say if the food were better this place could have been a home run for us. The servers were very attentive, and it was a total team effort. They kept our Mimosas and Bloody Marys filled and were very accommodating throughout the entire visit. Here's where things feel short. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. The eggs didn't have much yolk in them, and the polenta cake was so so. I did think the Asparagus was a nice touch though, and it was cooked perfectly. I decided I'm not such a fan of the Citrus Hollandaise sauce here also. As for Hubby's steak and eggs, he was disappointed at the small portion. His eggs were way over cooked for him as he requested over easy. We aren't the types to send food back although maybe they could have fixed these issues for us. For us, the real nice thing about this place was the patio seating. I did notice the inside of the restaurant was spacious and very nice, but we like to be outdoors and being seated next to the water was a treat. Hubby was even able to spot a school of dolphins playing in the area. My back was turned so I didn't catch a glimpse of them quickly enough. It was cool watching all sorts of boats go by and some crafts were awesome. There was a nice gentle breeze that made this a perfect date location. The restaurant is located inside an apartment complex. So it's kind of tricky getting to. We actually had to ring the buzzer because there was a gate at the entrance. We weren't even sure we were in the right place except the voice on the other end said, "OK!" and the gate opened. We drove up the driveway and around to the back where the restaurant was. There is valet parking and that is it. It is supposed to be free, but I think the ticket said $5 on it, which is what I gave the attendant. I would like to give this place another try. I think it could be one of my favorite spots if they can deliver on the food. For now, I don't think the quality and value are there for the Brunch.

I've been on a Groupon rampage lately, and Juniper on the Water was my next restaurant conquest. It's fun checking out nice hidden places at a fun sizeable discount. I summoned for the grilled pawns appetizer and the half chicken. My companion ordered the pesto with chorizo. Our meals were decent as all was cooked well. But no WoW factor, nor a mmmmmm factor. But the view by the intracostal did have that relaxing ahhhhh factor! Good spot for an intimate dinner date followed by a walk in the sand. And that's a Yesssss factor :)

Loved it here! Came for their happy hour (4-7pm every day) and it was great. I ordered the calamari and hummus dip and both were fresh and excellent. I had a house red wine and a tito's vodka lemon drop and both were great and BIG. I love a place that serves generous servings of alcohol!! They are doing it right! The view was great and the service was great too. I will absolutely be back here.

Wow!!! I haven't written a review in forever - but had to. It is worth going here. James is really a fantastic waiter - he even got me bleu cheese olives for my martini(that my wife ate). Eating on the water is what Florida is all about. The Clam bake is perfect. The burger and truffle fries also were a stand out. I'm coming back - and maybe by boat. This place is a little treasure.

Took a group of 14 for dinner in June. Food and drinks are great. Wish they had some more help with our table. The location is strange, you have to go through residential buildings. A real hidden gem. I will be back.

Bad things: Valet worker WAS TOTALLY RUDE!!! I forgot to bring cash to tip the valet man, so I told him I would park my car myself due to me forgetting the tip. He said "Go figure" then I asked if he had a certain parking spot he would like to park in & he pointed and said "you see the parking lot, so park where ever"...VERY RUDELY with a nasty look on his face. Our server was not attentive & he was MIA a lot, he never asked how our meals or drinks were. We only saw him before & after our meal. My steak was also very rare & I asked for it medium. I ate it since our server was no where to be found. Good: The food was still amazing. The view is wonderful. The restaurant is very clean, bright & welcoming.

Really awesome place hidden behind a building. The view was spectacular. We sat outside, right on the intercoastal. They were very accommodating to children (no kids menu, but plenty of delicious, healthy options a child would love). My baby had the roasted chicken and ate a little of everything on the plate. I tasted his meal-- Delish! We started with the Clams a la Plancha-- best clams I've ever eaten. The sauce was fabulous, I could drink it :). My dad ordered the Juniper burger and said it was cooked to perfection. I had some of his truffle fries and they were some of the best I've tried. I ordered the lamb shank. It was my least favorite of all the dishes, but still very tender and good, just lacked a bit of seasoning. We ended with the mousse for dessert, good, but a bit too fudgy for me. Still very yummy. Definitely will be back for brunch and recommend this place for a lovely meal on the water.

Food was okay. Service was good. We had a very large party and only 2 wait staff taking care of us. Took a very long time to get the entrees to the table. And then about 30 minutes between the first entree to be served and the last. Some people ate anyway. Some waited and (of course) their food was cold. The steaks were not worth the money. The worst part was when we mentioned to the manager about the time it took to get the food to the table. All he did was apologize but refused to comp any of the meals. The bill was $2,200! He could have comped a few entrees for $100 and it wouldn't have hurt his receipts for the night. The manager wasn't managing and didn't take care of the customers! Don't waste your time. Eat elsewhere.

Wow this place is awesome! I have been bemoaning the lack of waterfront restaurant bars in Sunny Isles, Aventura, Hallandale, Hollywood (I know there is GG's) . . . And this find is a gem. Beautiful decor and ambiance, great staff and owners (bartender John and owner Scott, Sho ), they let you smoke a cigar on patio (which GG's doesn't anymore), awesome food (we loved the plank salmon and grilled chicken), happy hour and sunset dining specials, free valet . . . What more can you ask for?

Excellent food with fresh seafood and wonderful service. The dishes were all fantastic: mixed salad, frutti de mare, pesto pasta, mahi mahi, and Branzino were amazing. The entire table was very happy with their dinner choices. Having tastes everything, I can certainly vouch for the quality. You wouldn't expect to find this place tucked behind two private condo buildings. Don't be fooled by the exterior. The interior ambience was great and the patio behind the restaurant was fun. Definitely coming back.

I live a the condo above the restaurant so it's very convenient for me also the Intracoastal and the soft redesigned dining room and bar got me to try them. The previous operator died from lack of business. I always thought it was odd since there are 1,200 apartments in this complex. That said, if it were me making the decisions about this condoplex I would give a new and courageous operator free rent, valet parking, and utilities as long as he needed it. 1,200 X 2=2,400 diners as potential customers. How about something different such as TAKE A PIECE OF THE ACTION instead of drive a hard bargain and have no dining facility for your buyers/renters. Ho hummm! Well, they finally got two restaurateurs who seemed like nice chaps. I dropped in one day before they opened and took photographs and sniffed around. I liked the way they had redesigned the place; it takes more advantage of the great view of the Intracoastal and sunset. They also raised the ceilings which made a big difference. I was looking forward to dining with them and last night I did, but it was the same old same old same old. The fish was farm raised and had no flavor and I think the chicken came out of a boil-in-pouch. The largeish shrimp had more flavor than the normal farm raised white things, but their clams were from a can.(I have owned several restaurants in the north and I know a thing or two about how to obtain FRESH and WILD food. It ain't that tough, but it is more expensive; just have smaller portions and Bobs your uncle. The main event here is the service which was really excellent; a vast improvement over their predecessor. The deck furniture is comfortable and makes one want to linger and watch the rather fun traffic on the water below (it's very close to the edge which is nice and has no diesel fumes or banging rigging interrupting one's important points of conversation.( I really hate that clang, clang from aluminum rigging [all sail rigging should be wood in my fantasy world.]) The Juniper is also a far better choice than Kerry's which has the beach view at the Hemispheres by a long shot. But the food; come on guys, KIS, Maine lobster, fresh oysters, fly in some haddock and poach it in milk and butter, a PRIME steak or two and maybe some kidney lamb chops from the nearest ranch. Williams-Sonoma can do it why can't a let's pretend high end place like this give it a go. The US has nice little sheep ranches by the bucket; how about baby lamb liver, or mutton. Oh, I give up, South Florida has the world's worst food so why bitch and moan; lets just enjoy the weather and the close to heavenly views. The Juniper has the possibility of becoming a very classy fooderie. You know what the real estate brokers say, "Location, location, location."; you are starting with that plus good servers and a pleasing ambiance and decor. The Juniper is a four star package, but without fresh and wild they will never get another star from this reviewer.

All I can say is WOW! I purchased the Groupon for this restaurant and it was amazing. We were greeted by the hostess who was very pleasant. The entire staff was young and had a good vibe about them. We were quickly seated on their outdoor terrace and greeted by our waiter. I thought that the food was top notch. The seafood was extremely fresh and all other ingredients were great. Serving size was rather small however filling. I got the plank salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and it was delicious. To follow I had the strawberry cheesecake. While we were eating various waiters and the manager came up to the tables and asked if there was anything they needed and if they were satisfied. I would definitely go back to Juniper on The Water.

I love this place! Such a beautiful restaurant on the water. Just had dinner and the food was soooo good! Seafood Paella was made with couscous instead of rice. Loved it. And I'm not a big fan of salads, but I loooove their Caesar Salad. The flavors that the Chef uses are incredibly tasty. The ambience was awesome. Beautiful decor, lighting was great. Not to mention the view! Oh, and order a Pama Paloma for a cocktail. Their specialty cocktails are a hit! Bravo, Juniper!
What a pleasant surprise, it is beautifully decorated, with a beautiful bar and a beautiful view of the water.the Greek salad was awful but the Greek salad more than made up for it.we ordered the grilled prawns which were head on and delicious. The steak was ok. I will defiantly go and try it again.

The service (Debbie) was amazing! 5 stars Attentive. And soooo polite The food was worth the price we paid I got grilled shrimp and it tasted delicious. Cooked over a wood or charcoal fire. The polenta cake was sort of bland The paella was ok. The couscous was not my favorite - would have preferred rice but the seafood was cooked perfectly We used a groupon and were treated really well Beautiful waterfront dining.

The food was good not great! But the service was on point and our waiter was sweet and kind.. Wish I remember her name The owner was also very attentive and nice.. Groupon and yelp have a great deal 35$ for 50$! Can't go wrong with that!

Absolutely beautiful !!! I was there for brunch and the eggs Benedict served on polenta cake was just amazing!! my friend had the pancakes and usually I dont eat carbs, but those were sooo good that I couldn't resist , they have a great deal with bottomless bellinis and mimosas the view was just perfect! , we stayed after brunch for more drinks and some appetizers we share the Mediterranean platter and prawns with a very nice bottle of sauvignon blanc, they have a great wine list , they have free valet parking so we didnt even worry about parking. I love this place!! Definitely my new spot.I plan on coming back for their happy hour .

(Make sure you read my entire review) We had an 8pm reservation. The manager brought us to a table but we asked if we could have the open one along the intercostal. They said that they would set it for us and would seat us as soon as it was set. We waited at the bar. A different Hostess seated another couple and they asked for the table that was just set for us, not knowing that we were waiting for it. The Hostess then came over to seat us and brought us to the table we first declined and I told her that she had just given our table to the other couple. (Mistakes happen but how one deals with it is what makes the experience.) When she realized the mistake was made, she and the manager were very apologetic. They returned us to the bar, comp'ed our drinks, brought us a VERY GOOD appetizer called Mediterranean Dip. It was served with warm grilled pita and was served three different spreads, hummus, smoked eggplant and tzatziki. The Bar tender was a great guy, nice to talk to while we waited. He noticed we were out of Pitas on our platter but had more spread, so he ordered some more pitas for us. They finally had an open table along the Intercostal and seated us. The comp'ed another round of drinks and we placed our orders. I had the NY Strip Steak; my Wife had the Seafood Paella. Both dishes were EXCELLENT! Our waitress was aware of the mess up with our table and she seemed extra nice to us but she was extra nice and Friendly to all her tables. She had a great personality and made the night very pleasant. The Restaurant Industry is hard and when mistakes are made, it is how the mistakes are dealt with is how people will remember the restaurant. The Staff at Juniper on the Water bent over backwards to make our night a good one! Ultimately, you are reading this review to help you decide to go to this restaurant. The question you should ask me is, Would I go back? My answer is Heck Yea! In a Heart Beat! And... You should go there too! The only thing I would say, It is hard to find their driveway. It is with the entrance drive shared with the Hemispheres buildings. I should have done a Google Street View to familiarize myself because I almost missed the entrance.

I loved sitting near the water and enjoyed watching the beautiful view seeing all the boats pass by and feeling the light breeze. Food is great, decor has a romantic feel to it, service is over the top. Will definitely come back next time we visit Hallandale, Fl.

I was staying at a hotel off of Ocean Drive and Yelped the highest rated and closest in proximity and fell upon this gem. I ordered the pate for appetizer, the seafood paella for my main course and cheesecake for dessert. All amazing, incredibly happy with my meal. If I am back in town, guaranteed to be a repeat!

Juniper on the water is a great place to eat either outdoors facing the water or indoors and still facing the water. The food quality was very good. I recommend the chocolate mousse cake as a desert. I found the service to be very good. It's valet only and a little tricky to find (you will have to go through a guard house) but it's certainly worth the trip.

I was referred to this amazing restaurant by a good friend and I am glad she did. I walked in and the ambience was beyond warm and welcoming. The owners took their time reviewing all the little details. The menu has great options ranging from seafood paella to truffle French fries. But what tied the entire meal together was the homemade blueberry moose over chocolate fudge dessert. Amazing.

Nice view, put a lot of efforts and thought into the space design and marketing, the owner is a nice guy, but the food quality is lower than average. It seems to be overpriced for what it is so far, but I wish them a success.

Wonderful meal! Great service from our server Brandon. We sat on the patio at sunset... So lovely! David, the manager stopped by the table often to inquire how our evening was going. Will definitely go back! I would suggest the Truffle Fries, I kept stealing them from my friends plate. Looking forward to trying the brunch!

Great view. Nice ambiance, waiter was also very nice. I ordered a rib eye, but I was told they had another plate which consisted of NY strip and fillet minion. I upgraded to their suggestion $36, but I was surprised to only get a NY Strip. Fillet minion was missing. I also had a Martini and it was good. Wife: Ordered Shrimp and Clams. Shrimp was room temperature, Clams were chewy. Overall, a nice place to watch a sunset and relax, but food is pricy for the quality.

A great find! The location and atmosphere was perfect. Background music low enough to have a conversation. On the intercoastal waterway. Small menu but one dish for any entree that you want. The Greek salad was the beat ever! Food overall was good just not great. Service was professional but a little slow. Overall it is a strong 4 star!

All in all a good experience. I wish this place success, but several things prevented me from giving a higher rating. Lets start with the positive....the food is flavorful and yummy. We split the Mediterranean dips and they were delicious. My main contention is that I ordered a ribeye and they gave me a strip steak. Ribeye is my favorite cut. I prepare it often. I know the difference between my cuts of meat. I'm a savy consumer. The cognac sauce was solid. However, the fingerling potatoes were cold! No excuse for that. The place was empty. Beware folks that they do not sub out your steak for a cheaper product.

spectacular brand new space and view of the intercoastal. the food was fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. This is definitely a hidden gem in Sunny Isles/Hallandale area worth going to.

Delightful atmosphere, first class service and amazing food. This place is a must. They had a Dj playing relaxing lounge music. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a delicious meal in a fabulous place.

Wow! This was an amazing hideaway! It was located in the rear near a private development, buzzed in by security and drive around back. I was pleasantly pleased walking in to this unknown restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect serene. We ate outside listened to the boats even got lucky to see some fireworks on Sunday night. The service was lovely food was amazing. The steak was juicy the fish was tasty and the salad was perfect! I had the whole family parents my son and all were very pleased with this experience. Wine was filled to the brim and dessert was the perfect compliment to the dinner. Sorbet and chocolate mousse cake again another hit. I would absolutely recommend and plan to return. The manager handed me my car keys and had it ready from the valet on the way out. Now that's service!

Beautiful location with amazing food ! Set on the water where you can watch the sun set while enjoying quite possibly the best meal of your life !

In town for conference and saw positive reviews so figured we'd try it. Food was good. Service wasn't great from our main waitress. The other staff seemed to realize this and hovered a little to help with drink refills and clearing plates. The management really did seem to care and I think our waitress will get better but she was a little inexperienced and seemed overwhelmed despite not being very busy. Outside seating is an option. Inside has multiple seating options (booth, table, bar height table). One TV over the bar.

We were in town for a conference and went to Juniper for dinner as a group. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The waitstaff were courteous, friendly, and helpful with recommendations. The food was excellent and a great value. Overall, all of our group were very pleased with the choice and the meal. The setting would also be perfect for a quiet romantic dinner, convivial but intimate.

We were in town for a conference and in search for a place with good food. We found this place on yelp and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. After a brisk walk from the resort we found the place to be very much to our liking. From start to finish everything, and I mean everything, was great. The decor, the music, the service, the champagne, the food (appetizer, entree, AND Dessert). It was surprisingly slow for a Saturday night which was perfect for us because our waiter John was able to give us stellar service. Not only would I visit again the next time I'm in the area but I would highly recommend it to other. It made my experience to Hallandale worth while.

Beautiful place on the water. Great food and service. The decor is stunning you could sit in there all night and just relax and enjoy. We will be going back.

Great location, service and excellent food. Good and refined variety of appetizers and entrees. Clams and Salmon were delicious. I am glad found this place.

Awesome restaurant with great decor and ambiance. The Staff is accommodating and the food is great. I loved the Grilled Prawns and the lamb shank. Its a bit out of your normal path but its really worth it. Great views on the river for amazing sunsets!
(5)Bev F.
Very tranquil and peaceful place to enjoy a delicious dinner on the water. The salmon entry was very good. We visited here based on Yelp reviews and were very pleased with the experience. We highly recommend it.

Lynn mixes a great beverage. She is enthusiastic, friendly, and is knowledgable. I would recommend for an outing with friends or a date night I haven't had a bad meal yet... Muy delicioso

Anyone who knows me knows that I like to be near the water as much as possible, so when I discovered this restaurant, I hopped on it. First of all let me say that I adore this restaurant's setting. You can choose to sit either inside and enjoy the breathtaking indoor décor, or outside on the patio deck where you can absorb the beautiful intercoastal scene. My husband and I have been here for both dinner and happy hour, and never leave disappointed with either the service or the food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, I HIGHLY recommend trying the Juniper: a little bit of spicy and sweet with a refreshing cucumber cool twist. My mother thinks I am crazy for wanting to drink something like that, but hey, some people can appreciate a drink like this one and I am one of them! The cuisine is Mediterranean style with lots of fresh salads and seafood. If you are like me and don't eat seafood (stupid seafood allergy), they also have yummy options like the Pasta w/ Pesto (I added chicken, but you can also add seafood), Grilled Half Chicken, Lamb Shank, and Boneless Ribeye. The restaurant is centrally located on the intercoastal smack between Broward and Miami-Dade County, so it is easily accessible for those residing in both necks of the woods. It may be easy to miss this restaurant as you drive since it is located within a residential condominium area. There is a sign however on A1A outside of the condominium that will help you locate the restaurant. They periodically have a Groupon available to get around $20 off a dine-in of $50 or more, so I would recommend checking for a Groupon first before you visit. Another perk! I recommend coming here for a romantic date on the water, or even perhaps for dinner before a good movie or show. Well worth it. 5 stars.
(5)Chegitz G.
(4)Mark M.
(5)Marysia G.
(5)Omar N.

(5)Geoffrey M.
(4)Pam S.
5 star service from James. 5 star manager, Sho. Food was delicious but a little small on the portions went on Groupon. Great value. It really is a hidden gem on the intercostal with boats and twinkling lights. GO!!!
(4)Nathan F.
(5)Tony R.
(3)Bruce T.
(5)Lynn L.
Delicious food and classic cocktails! ! Specialty drink, the Juniper Martini before dinner and the Espresso Martini after dinner! Beautiful setting, soft music and exquisite service!
(5)Nickole B.
Perfect Date Night or Night out with the girls! The outdoor view is breathtaking! The menu is small but the food was excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful (especially Ms. Enji) ... I will definitely make this my spot whenever I am in that area!
(5)Helene S.
(3)Jason T.
Great hidden gem. Low key and great views. Service could be a bit more refined. Red wine was served a bit warm. I will be back for sure!
(4)Dustin M.
(5)Carl G.
(4)Andy B.
(5)Tamela S.

(4)Kayla N.
(5)David C.
(5)Emmy M.
Took a group of 14 for dinner in June. Food and drinks are great. Wish they had some more help with our table. The location is strange, you have to go through residential buildings. A real hidden gem. I will be back.
(4)Ashley E.
(3)Sabrina K.
(4)James T.
Yohana is the best waitress in the place. Great food great views and awesome service. Great experience. The Mediterranean dish was great, also the wine selection was awesome, also the Greek salad was amazing! Will return for sure
(5)Kathleen K.
Great service and lovely ambiance! Make sure to get there for happy hour. I think I found my new favorite dinner spot.
(5)Ri T.
I believe I have found my new favorite spot. Such a happy staff. We felt like we we're friends for a lifetime. The food was excellent, the view was excellent and the gentleman playing the guitar was amazing. What a great time.
(5)David F.
(1)Greg N.
(5)Lloyd L.
Everyone is so amazingly nice! They treated me with the upmost respect and have great service. The food was amazing. I recommend the clams as an appetizer. This is a great place to go to any day of the week.
(5)Amie K.
(5)Dewey C.
(4)Carolyn D.
Can I give this place 5 extra stars ... I am afraid to rave about this place, because then I will never get in!!! This place is quality great food and service. The ambiance is beautiful ! I love this place . Thank you James for making a casual dining experience feel top notch you are outstanding at what you do!
(5)Hayden V.
(5)Taonaya F.

Have you ever left a dining establishment just glowing with praise on how wonderful your experience was, determined to write a review immediately but then a little reluctant to share your secret find, because once the secret is out, something will likely change? Well, Juniper is that place... I'm torn between singing its praises from the rooftop and keeping this little gem my personal secret between special friends forever... I'm at the Diplomat Hotel often, and am always looking for suggestions on dining nearby... Juniper is a little tricky to find, but once you figure out where to turn in, find valet and head towards the building on the water, it is worth the effort... The ambiance alone justifies the visit: intimate tables are literally lining the waterway and the views at night are calming and perfectly lovely. There's inside seating as well, but there's a light breeze in the evening, even on the hottest summer nights, so head for the deck if you can. Drinks are healthy in size and content, and waitstaff are impeccable in grace and a casual elegance that allows for the passage of time while you peruse the thoughtful and simple menu. There are meat options, but we passed on that for both the steamed littleneck clam starter infused in a light broth, and the salmoln entrée and an incredible seafood pasta that was so delicious in its subtlety that I'm still thinking about exactly why it was just so perfect... but it was... Our server was Deb, and I only wish she'd teach a class as to how to be a gracious server; yes, she was that phenomenal and made the visit exceptional... The Manager, David, visited the tables, and in earnest asked for feedback as to how our experience was unfolding... It was then I realized I had those two choices I mentioned at the beginning here: Share my find on Yelp! or keep it selfishly to myself... In the end, I chose to share... But I do recommend that you go on an "off" night when it's not too crowded and you don't have to share, either...

Great night! Weather, food, drinks, and service were all spot on! Food was perfect. House cocktail was great. Thank you for wonderful service, Brendan and David.
